Color profiles
You’ve probably seen this: A printout does not show the colours you saw on the screen. Or two prints of one photo don’t have the same colour – which is immediately noticeable when you place them side-by-side. The mistake here is almost always in colour management. Because without a correct colour profile, every device interprets colours in its “own” way… What was absolutely brilliant and colour-fast on the monitor can therefore lose its overall expressiveness as soon as it appears on paper. Application Guide
- Start Mirage and switch to the “Settings…” menu.
- Click on the tab: “Custom media”
- Select “Install media…” at the bottom left.
- In the Explorer window (Windows) / Finder menu (Mac) that opens, select the previously downloaded Mirage media package “*.mediapkg.zip” file (do NOT unzip the ZIP file).
Important note for Mac/Safari users: If you download the media packages with Safari software, Safari automatically unpacks the “*.mediapkg.zip” file, making it unusable. You can disable automatic unpacking as follows: In the opened Safari window press “cmd and comma”. Deselect “General” in the window that appears at the bottom: “Open secure files after loading”. Alternatively, you can use another Internet access software, such as Mozilla Firefox.
